Scotia Capital (USA) Inc. seeks Associate, Latin America Investment Banking in New York, NY to evaluate and analyze financial needs of corporate clients, including the development of financial models. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Economics, Finance or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation: utilizing Excel to build three-statement financial models; utilizing Excel to integrate operating financial models with tax, debt, working capital and capital expenditure schedules; utilizing experience with tax systems of Chile, Colombia, Mexico or Peru and the impact on cross-border Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) situations including withholding taxes; preparing client presentations summarizing country and industry trends, key value drivers of the client’s business and valuation and process recommendations; executing live mandates and pitches. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies. When not telecommuting, must report to work site. 25% travel required internationally. Fluency in Spanish required. Offered salary is between $175,000 to $225,000.00 per year/40 hours per week.
