As a clinical pharmacist, you will provide a variety of clinical services to our members, utilizing data-driven insights to enhance member care. Your contributions will play a vital role in reducing healthcare costs, managing disease states, and improving health outcomes.
What Makes This Role Unique?
Our clinical pharmacist role focuses on building ongoing relationships with members through a digital platform. You will ensure that our product aligns with established clinical guidelines while addressing individual needs and considering formulary and benefit designs.
Key Responsibilities:
Review claims information and automated clinical opportunities to make evidence-based recommendations.
Assist members in downloading and using our health app effectively.
Conduct digital clinical engagements with members to provide personalized support.
Refer members to employer-sponsored programs when appropriate.
Make therapy recommendations to healthcare providers.
Collaborate with team members on aligned projects to enhance our services.
Contribute to the development of internal clinical and member-facing products.
Participate in client and prospect calls as needed.
Provide clinical coverage outside of normal work hours when required.
Minimum Qualifications:
PharmD or equivalent advanced degree, with a valid pharmacist license in good standing within a US state.
Completed residency training (PGY-1 or PGY-2).
At least 2 years of experience interacting with patients and clinicians.
Strong analytical skills and sound judgment.
Excellent verbal, listening, and written communication abilities.
Proficient in computer applications, including database and reporting tools.
In-depth understanding of pharmaceutical therapy and direct patient care.
Solid knowledge of drug administration and disease state management.
Willingness to travel as needed, even though this is primarily a remote position.
Familiarity with how ongoing digital relationships can enhance member outcomes from drug therapies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Multi-state licensure.
Experience in digital health environments.
Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Specialty Certification (BCACP).
