Position: Hand Therapist - Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist

Status: Full-time

Bonus: $20,000

Schedule:  Monday-Friday

Compensation: $75,000 - $95,000 (commensurate with experience) plus bonus

We are seeking a full-time Hand Therapist - PT or OTR for our   outpatient orthopedic center located in Alexandria, VA. A certified hand therapist (CHT) is preferred, but we are willing to consider physical therapists or occupational therapists with a minimum of a level II fieldwork in hands (required). We can mentor a physical therapist aspiring to be a certified hand therapist. We have a network of hand therapists and CHTs available for support.

• Responsible for the evaluation, plan of care, treatment, re-evaluation, discharge, and appropriate communications of high quality hand therapy services to patients and customers.
• Develop treatment plans, supervise assistants and aides, contribute to case management, and provide quality patient care.
• Maintain positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.
• Stay current and up to date with Physical Therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).

• Must be a graduate of an APTA accredited school of Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy and VA state PT or OT license is required 
• Experience in the application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedics is required
• One (1) year of experience in hand therapy
• Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
• Valid driver’s license
