Job Title: Housekeeping Assistant/ Housekeeping Aide

Purpose of the Housekeeping Assistant/ Housekeeping Aide:

The purpose of this position is to implement facility housekeeping procedures in an efficient, cost-effective manner to safely meet residents’ needs in compliance with federal, state and local requirements.

Housekeeping Assistant/ Housekeeping Aide Duties and Responsibilities:

• Implement housekeeping procedures to meet residents’ needs in compliance with federal, state and local requirements

• Participate in the monitoring system for the housekeeping department

• Notify supervisor when supplies are needed

• Notify supervisor when equipment in need of repair

• notify supervisor when areas of the facility are in need of repair

• Follow oral and written instructions

• Follow material safety data sheets (MDS)

• Operate Housekeeping equipment safely

• Perform cleaning procedures in accordance with facility policy

• Observe waste disposal procedures in accordance with facility policy; follow directions

• Assist in proper care of housekeeping equipment

Housekeeping Assistant/ Housekeeping Aide Qualifications:

• Minimum education level of 10th grade
• Housekeeping experience preferred
