Location: Can work out of any one of our Northern California office locations in Oakland, San Francisco, Petaluma, Sacramento, or San Jose
Dynamic environmental consulting firm specializing in the planning, design, mitigation, and restoration for projects across our communities, infrastructure systems, open spaces, and wildlands; actively seeks Landscape Architect / Landscape Designer to join any one of our Northern California office locations in Oakland, San Francisco, Petaluma, Sacramento, or San Jose.
Our team of engineers, geomorphologists, landscape architects, biologists, and restoration ecologists works collaboratively to deliver projects for our clients. Landscape Architect / Landscape Designer Qualifications and Experience Needed:
This Landscape Architect / Landscape Designer is a mid- to senior-level professional who performs, and in some cases leads, multifaceted landscape architecture related system plans, master plans, designs, evaluations, studies, analyses, and tasks requiring in-depth knowledge and at least five years of professional experience.
The Landscape Designer/Architect III may specialize in one or more areas, including, but not limited to: urban, recreation, storm water management, mitigation, ecosystem restoration, or related disciplines.
Bachelor"s degree in Landscape Architecture or related environmental field.
Must possess strong skills in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite and other design software.
Must possess a valid driver"s license.
Able to pass a federal and state background check for project-based assignments.
Landscape Architect / Landscape Designer Role & Responsibilities:
Landscape Architect / Landscape Designer serves as a technical specialist, uses judgment and critical thinking to select, apply and adapt standard techniques, methods, and procedures for a wide range of lower to moderately complex recreation, urban, stormwater management, mitigation, and ecosystem restoration studies.
Performs and sometimes leads field studies such as site analysis, vegetation surveys, natural resource assessments and reviews development and environmental codes to support planning and design efforts.
Possesses an in-depth understanding of regulations, policies, and principles in topics and locations of expertise.
Serves as primary author of landscape architecture documents potentially including meeting displays, maps, renderings, visualizations, design drawings, cost estimates, permit applications and/or other items.
Prepares clear, concise, well-written and supported documents with minimal revisions.
