Starts, operates, and checks for safety and maintenance of a wide variety of small engines, lawn mowers, hand tools, pumps, chainsaws, pick up trucks, tractors, farm machinery, and implements. Performs basic road maintenance by clearing drainage, spreading road surface material, filling pot holes, placement of signs, repairing fences, removing trees, etc. Makes minor repairs to navigational locks such as replacing hydraulic hoses. AS A MARINE MAINTENANCE REPAIRER Performs minor repairs on marine vessels. Performs general maintenance on all marine facilities. Participates in the painting, pipefitting, carpentry, sand blasting, and electrical repair of marine vessels and related equipment. Performs minor maintenance on all assigned equipment.
