Job Description

Job Summary:

The Operations Business Analyst will play a critical role in analyzing and improving our operational processes. This position involves collecting and analyzing data, identifying trends and inefficiencies, and working closely with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that enhance productivity and reduce costs. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for the food manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data related to production, supply chain, inventory, and other operational areas. Identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
  • Process Improvement: Evaluate current operational processes and workflows. Recommend and implement improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization.
  • Performance Metrics: Develop, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance. Provide regular updates and insights to management.
  • Cost Analysis: Analyze production costs, raw material usage, and other expenses. Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency gains.
  • Project Management: Lead or support cross-functional projects aimed at improving operational processes. Coordinate with various departments to ensure successful project implementation.
  • Supply Chain Analysis: Evaluate supply chain performance and identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies. Work with suppliers and internal teams to streamline processes and improve delivery times.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports and presentations on operational performance, process improvements, and project outcomes to senior management.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with production, quality assurance, procurement, and other departments to gather information, validate data, and implement process changes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by regularly reviewing and refining operational processes. Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in operations analysis, process improvement, or a similar role, preferably in the food manufacturing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau).
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma) is a plus.
