We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Clerk to join our team in Minooka, IL. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing shipments, verifying documentation, and ensuring efficient processing using shipping software. You will also assist with packaging, palletizing, and maintaining inventory of shipping supplies while operating material handling equipment. Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Schedule: 8 AM - 4 PM

Pay Rate: $18/hr

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Weigh and measure packages accurately.
• Ensure proper packing slip/shipping documents accompany each shipment.
• Utilize Starship software for shipping operations.
• Enter shipping data into SAGE software system.
• Prepare items for shipping by sorting, palletizing, and shrink-wrapping.
• Generate end-of-day reports.
• Monitor packaging supplies and submit orders as needed.
• Assist packaging clerk with boxing and packing items.
• Operate material handling equipment such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, and cherry pickers (Wave).
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications:

• Preferably 1+ years of shipping experience, but not required.
• Minimum 1+ years of warehouse experience.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills.
• Familiarity with Starship shipping software is a plus.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt.
• Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Knowledge of material handling equipment.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Detail-oriented with a positive attitude.

Physical Demands:

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs; occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs.
• Stand for extended periods (8+ hours).
