Registered Nurse Postpartum Unit
Location: Athena Medtech
Department: Postpartum
Shift: Night Shift, Monday to Friday (4 days/week)
Hours: 11:00 PM 7:30 AM
Weekly Schedule: 32 hours/week
Athena Medtech is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Postpartum Unit on the night shift. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to mothers and newborns, working collaboratively with families and interdisciplinary teams in accordance with the American Nurses Association's Standards of Professional Nursing Practice.
Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver comprehensive nursing care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
Provide primary nursing care and coordinate patient care plans in the postpartum setting.
Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient safety standards.
Collaborate with families to ensure a supportive and informed care experience.
Adhere to infection control policies and current COVID-19 safety protocols.
Minimum Experience: 5 years in postpartum or mother/baby nursing
License: Current and active RN license in the State of Rhode Island
Certifications:
BLS (Basic Life Support) Required
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Required
COVID-19 Vaccination Required
Skills:
Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Shift Type: Nights only (no exceptions)
Schedule: Monday through Friday (4 days per week)
Hours Per Week: 32
